Hands down, my favorite Holiday movie has gotta be “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” That’s a cartoon classic that just can’t be beat.
I know, I know, it is not a movie, but I giggle every time I hear the ditty “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer.”
Can you tell I’m not big on Christmas movies? I have another favorite funny Christmas song, “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas.”
by violence do you mean anything that would bump a rating up to pg13? mild slapstick is allowed right?
Hey guys, I’m hoping someone will think of something to say when they see my comments. Anything Christmas will do. *hint hint* Another tune that is a Christmas favorite is that ‘Rusty Chevrolet’ song. *funny* So, does anyone know which one I mean?
i would like to enter my song into your contest http://www.youtube.com/user/alanfromdarwen with thanks.. alanfromdarwen
Okay Christmas just doesn’t ring true without a little Clark Griswold Family humor in Christmas Vacation. There is nothing like Clark make a fool of himself in the mall when trying to buy lingerie from a gorgeous woman behind the counter while “browsing” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEZWtohobaE&feature=player_embedded Or even better when Uncle Eddie decides to dump his septic tank in Clark’s sewer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9sY6iH9Ojg&feature=related You can’t forget the famous dinner scene and the overcook turkey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Spmqbs8YCW8&feature=related The Christmas lights fiasco is unforgettable – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qc_RYm0ylA&feature=related Watching Clark slide down the hill on his companies silicone compound- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rMcRJVY1-0&feature=related The attic scene which is one of my favorites- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzyDsY0IsPI&feature=fvw and to top it all off “The Griswold Family Christmas Tree” – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShmY-W5A0Vw&feature=related Anyway nothing brings in Christmas like Christmas Vacation…enjoy the clips.
Hi!, just entered, here is my submission, i know its a bit over 5 minutes, but its worth it, please watch the whole thing, all the way through, i hope you enjoy this, everyone i have showed so far has. i played an old man geek, who can’t get any ladies or dates for his Christmas, and every year his Christmas is the same, just a character i created on the spot, some of my improv.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_ivHTFuptU
This was made by a group of people at NXNW Productions. I think you might enjoy it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBfr2DFezpc
So this is Christmas, tree decorating, cookie baking, Christmas competitions throughout endless American neighborhoods… who will win and who’s power is going to be shut off in the process? Then we have the over festive, the under festive, the gift givers, the gift takers, presents abound, presents not found, stocking stuffers, or just families getting together to stuff their faces… So what is it about Christmas that makes it so memorable? Is it Nana’s fake Christmas tree that she bought in 1970, and displays proudly in the center of her living room? Or is it Papa’s obsession with stoking up the fire, so that everyone in the house is red faced, and has sweated off those Christmas pounds by the end of the party? Is it when Uncle John tells you his daughter has bosoms and asks you to give him a smooch under the mistletoe? Or years later, when Aunt Kim announces she and John are separated, and she is shacking up with another woman? Maybe it is Uncle no show Joe, who can never seem to hold down a job, and comes to the Christmas party in hope that other family members have pitched in to buy his kids some winter coats? Perhaps it is most memorable when Aunt Jan plays Christmas songs on the piano while Aunt Robbie (the cougar) massages her paramedic boyfriend’s stinky feet. Or perhaps it is the abundance of bon bon’s and chocolate mint grasshopper cookies, turkey, ham, candied yams, and then a line of family members who after binging, purge in Nana’s bathroom toilet? And I thought the wrapping paper was a mess to clean up… Well this is Christmas as I remember it, a once a year get together (that should, at most, happen once a year), a festive gathering that reaffirms my sanity and reminds me that I need to have a few more rum balls and mulled wine before I attend next year’s Christmas bash.
this is our entry into the christmas comedy contest of 2009. Our entry is called “a tlc(the learning channel) christmas. hope you enjoy. link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZJsytdAwpE
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!! I AM HERE TO WIN A PLAYSTATION, SOMETHING TO ENJOY WITH MY FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES
Will the voting competition take place here or on another page? Good luck to all and happy hippodays!
I’m confused. Where do we vote? Do we just give the links here stars? Or is there a separate page. Instructions at top say “click here.” But there’s nowhere to click.
Just curious as to how this video made the finals? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDyqnobXC8U Based on the “official rules” you have to be the original creator of all content – No copyrights that aren’t your own and Charlie Brown music…I don’t think he’s the creator of that. No Profanity, Violence or Sexually Explicit videos, come on, stabbing and attempted murder…not considered violence? Yes, no denying I’m a supporter of my friends and I do want their video to go to the next round and it’s close right now, but really, Alone at Christmas shouldn’t be in the mix. And I don’t think California Christmas should move on without actually winning, but they could have easily incorporated a few gun shots, f-bombs in the mix if it was permitted. I’m just saying…
Totally understandable, and the reason we put it in was because we thought it was funny. But the good news is that California Christmas put the hurt on that video and moved on to the next round.
