In Utah, a local mystery was recently solved. Everett Ruess was a poet, artist, writer, and mountaineer who lived alone all throughout southern Utah. He had family and friends, but simply liked to be alone in the wilderness. He would hike for days with just two burrows and his pack. However, one day he went missing and no one had any idea what had happened to him. Recently though, a local Navajo Native American came forward with the story. Her father had told her that three Ute Native Americans had killed a boy, but she didn’t put it together until just recently. The body had been hidden, but her father knew where it was.

National Geographic has covered the story, and since the body found has been positively confirmed to be Everett Ruess. It was a monumental discovery, and you can read about it all over the web.
