July 16, 2009 | Adam Sorensen | Leave a comment Online colleges may not carry the same name value or educational quality that a traditional college has, but it also provides an education for people who need an extremely flexible schedule. Many people would be unable to get any more education if it wasn’t for online colleges. However, it seems the market for online colleges is becoming saturated, and the educational experience from one to another is extremely different. There are two important things you should consider when choosing an online college. First, is it accredited? If a college isn’t accredited, your degree could be essentially useless and not recognized. Next, you should be actually learning something from this school, not just taking online multiple choice tests. When it comes down to it, you shouldn’t be attending college simply to get a certificate, you should be going to learn new skills. Just as an FYI, you know who earned an online degree? Shaquille O’Neal. Yes, the big diesel attended The University of Phoenix and earned his MBA. He isn’t the only celebrity to do so either: Lisa Leslie (WNBA Star), Sasha Cohen, and Hillary Duff all did as well.
