One university is designing a bachelor's degree program for its students to take advantage of the potential job openings in this field. Trocaire University announced last week that its four-year degree in nursing has been approved by the New York State Education Department, reports Business First of Buffalo. The degree could become one of two bachelor's degrees the institution offers its students. The school is awaiting approval from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools to begin student enrollment in the curriculum. College officials told the the news source that the program is designed to help adult students earn their four-year degree in nursing in 16 months using both online and in-class instruction. The BLS reports that individuals who have obtained a bachelor's degree earned a weekly wage of $1,025 last year.
