Online degree programs are growing in popularity as they can help people achieve their goal of earning a degree while serving their country. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst The Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) Institutions of Higher Learning Education and Training Center has a number of locations where military officials can further their education, according to the JB MDL website. The center also offers online courses for individuals who live far from their base. “Seeing the smile on a person’s face when they receive their first college degree, or even a service member signing up for their first college class, is why I’ve spent more than 25 years in the education department here,” center counselor Gaylor Simons told the website. stay-at-home parents The online program is also catered toward stay-at-home parents who do not have the time to attend courses at an actual campus. Force development flight chief, Linda Richardson, says the courses are meant to be an affordable option for adults who wish to further their careers. Classes conducted over the internet can provide students with more flexibility in their schedules as they work toward a degree.
