November 3, 2010 | Adam Sorensen | Leave a comment The Human Resources Certification Institute has certified Ozarks Technical Community College’s professional development supervision and leadership online program, reports The News Leader. The certificate is offered through the school’s Online eLearning Outreach office and its enrichment center, and is geared toward human resource professionals. The 72-hour certificate can be completed in 12 weeks at approximately half the cost of comparable programs. College officials told the news source that professionals in a management, supervisory or leadership roles can benefit from this type of training. Courses are focused on effective communication, leadership, ethics, team-building and performance management. “This program offers an affordable, accessible way to satisfy recertification requirements and to gain knowledge in several supervision and leadership topics,” Vanessa Germeroth, assistant director of eLearning Outreach at the school, told the news source. Research from the Sloan Consortium reveals that the rate of enrollment in online schools has increased by 17 percent since 2009.
