January 7, 2011 | Adam Sorensen | Leave a comment Officials from the ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI) recently announced that its students have completed more than 400,000 online courses to aid in student's professional development. CCEI officials said that this institution provides online courses to help working professionals meet state requirements in the education field. Furthermore, students can transfer their coursework into a degree program at one of the organization's partnering colleges. Early childhood caregivers are given the opportunity to enroll in accredited certification programs and complete their studies using an extensive professional development course library. Students can access all of their coursework online. Officials said that the annual subscription fee to the extensive library is $99, and will allow unlimited access to topics such as classroom management, social and emotional development, health and safety as well as director management development. "We are proud to have hit this milestone and provided quality training to so many early care professionals," said Maria C. Taylor, president and CEO of the CCEI. "We will continue to add new, relevant courses that help educators improve the level of care they provide."
