Officials said that the program is aimed toward individuals who are pursuing public relations, advertising and communication professions and seek a curriculum designed to support a digitally-enabled career. "Ashford University's [degree] in eMarketing provides an education in marketing theory and practice while incorporating emerging social media marketing strategies," said Michael Reilly, executive dean of Ashford's College of Business and Professional Studies. "At the degree's core is a strong foundation of general business courses, ensuring students are prepared to support the marking demands of a variety of organizations." Officials added that the age of digital inclusivity continues to change the process in selling concepts and products, which will make eMarketing an in-demand field for years to come. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that job opportunities for marketing managers are expected to increase by 12 percent over the next five years. This translates to approximately 22,000 available positions.
