What about moms wanting to better their income for the benefit of their family?Â This may reign true with you especially if you are a single mom.Â Maybe you are a single mom currently in school or about to take that leap.Â If you are about to enroll, do you know what field you would like to study?Â If you are still unsure or apprehensive, here are some top career choices for moms with college degrees.Â One of these may be the perfect fit for you. Top paying jobs According to CNN Money, there is a fantastic list of jobs for women you may be interested in viewing.Â Here is the list with brief descriptions why it is a top paying job or career. 1.Â Chief Executive-“This is the highest ranking positionÂ corporate officer or administrator in charge of total management of an organization.“(Wikipedia)Â Weekly pay for a woman in this position could be at $1,553. 2. Pharmacist-I have noticed that more and more women are jumping on board this career choice.Â “Pharmacists are allied health professionals who practice in pharmacy, the field of health sciences focusing on safe and effective medication use.” (Wikipedia)Â Average weekly pay for this field is $1,475. 3. Lawyer-Remember Mrs. Huxtable on the Cosby Show?Â She was aÂ mom of 5 children who also happened to be a lawyerÂ proving that moms can fulfill their biggest dreams.Â While the show made it look very easy and it of course wasn’t reality, moms can become a lawyer while raising a family.Â Weekly pay for a woman lawyer teeters around $1,449. 4. Computer and IT Manager-Remember my post about moms jumping on board computer technology?Â This is where that most definitely comes into play.Â Weekly pay in this field for women is around $1,411. 5. Software Engineer-Software engineers “apply the principals of software engineering to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers or anything containing software such as, computer chips.” (Wikipedia) Average weekly pay is expected to be around $1,311. 6. Physician or Surgeon-I haveÂ a fewÂ friends who are also moms studying to be a physician and even a surgeon.Â Some of those moms also happen to be single moms so it most definitely can be done.Â Average weekly pay for this field for women is $1,228. 7. Computer Programmer– Again, for the moms jumping on board computer technology this is a top career choice.Â Average weekly pay for women in this field is expected to be around $1,182. 8. Management Analyst-Women studying this field can expect to see a weekly pay of $1,177. 9. Computer Scientist-As you can now see, this is the third time computers has been mentioned in this list of career choices for women.Â I am most definitely not surprised since women are becoming more and more computer savvy.Â I have even found myself wondering if I should study computer science since the pay is most definitely not too shabby.Â Average weekly pay is around $1,167. 10. Occupational Therapist-Occupational Therapists help clients achieve a fulfilled and satisfied state in life promoting health, etc. Average weekly pay for this job is $1,155.
